21 reasons why I love Nate Fick
1. Because he could keep a straight face even when Ray asked about JLo status.
2. Because he lied for his men.
3. Because he said things like this:

Most people in America right now probably think of Iraq as a dangerous country. Now if I were to stand up, I might get killed. But to us, behind this wheel, it’s pretty safe. So to us, Iraq is a safe country right here. I feel pretty safe. Do you feel safe?

5. And like this:
Gunnery Sergeant, you do not come up on a discussion between the Captain and myself and speak unless you are spoken to. And nobody fucking spoke to you.

7. Because he had to put up with Encino Man's stupidity and Captain America's craziness. And that’s just the beginning of the list.
8. Because his leadership was the only thing in that war that Brad had absolute confidence in.
9. Because he tried to unfuck stupid decisions, because he tried to make his soldiers feel better, but at the same time make them do their fucking jobs, because he tried to save the little boy.
10. Because he prefered the shit to fall on him and on him only.
11. Because when he had to make hard decisions, he made them and kept going.
12. Even if these decisions would anger the command or dissapoint his men.
13. Because he left his Humvee when his team was under fire to, you know, direct traffic.
14. Because he and Brad made eyefucking an art form.
15. Because he’s so hot, that even his soldiers noticed.
16. Because of this:
You can fuck with me all you want but do not, I repeat, do not fuck with my men. I’m putting it down, Gunny. You picking it up?

Bardzo się cieszę, że picspam się podobał, to mój pierwszy raz ;)

Jeżeli pdf w sieci jest, to się nieźle ukrywa. Znalazłam ją tylko na GoogleBooks, ale tam brakuje części stron. Zdobyłam też audiobooka, do którego podchodziłam jak do jeża, bo trudno mi się zwykle skupić na tym, czego słucham, ale włączyłam sobie, kiedy zajmowałam się dekoracjami na Halloween. Jak na samym początku okazało się, że audiobooka czyta Nathaniel Fick we własnej osobie... Cóż, mam już jakieś 2/3 za sobą ;)
(Ale nie poddaję się, jeśli chodzi o książkę, napisałam maila do księgarni, która sprzedawała ją na Allegro, z pytaniem, czy mogą sprowadzić i czy cena byłaby przybliżona do tej z aukcji, czyli 16,50 bodajże)

Z ciekawych rzeczy - Fick przeważnie mówi o wszystkich po nazwisku, ale ani razu nie wymienia nazwiska Schwetje, nie mówi nawet "Encino Man", zawsze tylko "captain", "CO" etc.
